Activity
An Activity is a scheduled moment where people can commit to be present.
Example: Saturday 10:00 padel at Belval — capacity 4, waitlist on, sport:padel facet.
Not a generic calendar event or social post.
Audience
Audience defines who can see and join an Activity — Public or Circle.
Example: A Circle-first board-game night that opens to Public if seats remain.
Not the same as Registration status.
AT
AT is the destination of presence — a court, café, office, Zoom room, or Discord server.
Example: Court 2 at Belval Sport, or a Zoom room link for a hybrid workshop.
Not just a map pin; AT is first-class.
Registration
Registration is the join state: confirmed, waitlisted, invited, pending approval, or left.
Example: You confirm for Tuesday’s run; when full, the next joiner is waitlisted.
Not ticket sales or payment status.
Attendance
Attendance is the factual record of whether someone showed up.
Example: After the padel match, the organizer scans QR codes; each present player gets Attendance.SHOWED_UP.
Not RSVP intent; Attendance is written at check-in.
Passport
A Passport is the factual history of participation across Activities.
Example: A runner’s Passport lists every morning run they actually showed up to — facts, not likes.
Not a score, rank, or social reputation system.
Ready
Ready is your availability signal on the calendar layer — when you are open to meet, travel, or vacation.
Example: You mark Ready Saturday morning for a hike without sharing your full agenda.
Not a full calendar share or busy-block export.
Circle
A Circle is a private group; Activities can start Circle-first before going Public.
Example: A university club Circle hosts weekly sessions members see first.
Not a chat group or follower list.
Opportunity
An Opportunity is a factual suggestion to create an Activity when availabilities converge.
Example: Three Circle members mark Ready overlapping Tuesday evening; SHOWUPAT suggests an Opportunity — a human accepts before any Activity is created.
Nothing is auto-created; a human always accepts.
Facet
A Facet is a flexible key/value tag describing compatibility (level:advanced, sport:padel).
Example: level:beginner and language:fr on a language-exchange Activity.
Not a rigid product category in the database.
Presence
Presence is being at the right place at the right time — the outcome SHOWUPAT records.
Example: You arrive at the trailhead on time and check in — presence becomes Attendance.
Not online status or last-seen.
Showed Up
Showed Up (Attendance.SHOWED_UP) is the verified fact that a participant was present.
Example: Manual roster check-in or venue QR marks you Showed Up for that Activity.
Not confirmed registration or calendar acceptance.
Waitlist
Waitlist holds participants when an Activity is full until a slot opens.
Example: Court is full at 4; the fifth player joins the waitlist and can be promoted.
Not a mailing list.
No-show
No-show records that someone confirmed but did not attend.
Example: Confirmed for Friday yoga, never checked in — recorded as no-show.
Not a penalty score; it is an honest factual record.
World
World is the live map and discovery surface for open Activities across places and times.
Example: Open World to see public padel and runs near you this weekend.
Not a social feed ranked by engagement.
Check-in
Check-in is the action that writes Attendance — manual roster, camera QR, or venue self check-in.
Example: Staff open the console and mark present players, or guests scan the rotating venue QR.
Not the same as Registration confirmation.
